The Funda of Mix-ology: What bartending teaches that IIM doesn't is a new novel about a young man not unlike many of us. After a life spent in diligent pursuit of getting into the best school/college/IIM/job, he joins an MNC off campus. A few years down the line, he realizes that nothing he has learnt at IIM can prepare him for the stress that characterizes his day-to-day life. Work seems to dominate every waking minute, and he has little by way of a personal life. As he approaches his thirtieth birthday, he begins to wonder if there is any point to his life beyond competing in one rat race after another.
All that changes one week.
A week when he almost quits his job, almost gets killed, and learns that the secret to having a more fulfilling life lies not in any classroom but in mix-ology, the art of making a good cocktail. So join him in this fantastic adventure and discover for yourself how you could learn to live a fuller life through the fundas of mix-ology!
Don't tell me, yet another `IIT/IIM' campus novel?
Thank heavens, no. I think we have way too many `campus' novels that serve to give a nostalgia trip to those who've been to an IIT/IIM and vicarious pleasure to those who'd like to know how `cool' life supposedly is there. This is a novel about growing up, and confronting the real world outside- the world you and I live in.
